Berate externalizes judgment as a towering, spectral presence looming over a cowering figure. The pale, disembodied face points accusingly, embodying shame, conscience, or the internalized voice of authority. The imbalance of scale emphasizes the disproportionate power such judgment holds over the individual psyche. This is condemnation without trial, a mythic personification of guilt that feeds on attention and fear.
