Betrayed, 2021

Betrayed; against a bleak sky, the severed head of a solemn elder floats with quiet accusation. His beard descends in two tapering strands like dark roots stripped from the soil, and his eyes blaze with the ghost-light of some final understanding. The landscape around him remains blurred and empty, giving no clue about who wronged him or what trust was broken. Yet the expression tells enough: a mix of sorrow, wisdom, and resignation, the look of someone who foresaw betrayal but stepped forward anyway. The head hangs suspended between worlds, carrying the weight of a story unspoken but entirely felt.
