When the last snows have fallen on Nova Scotia and Easter promises the warmth of spring, there looms the prospect of one last blizzard to return us to the depths of wintery purgatory. Somewhere in the haze, a Learian king howls in despair, betrayed by fate and nature as heaven and earth press down upon his every step. This storm is called the Easter Betrayal and if it had a face, it would look like this.

The reverse side is an "automatic" painting devoid of pitch and reason; trapped in a place between a grimacing face peering through a keyhole and a primordial monument in a place of darkness.
