In Evolution of Sorrows a procession of mud-born figures trudges across a barren plain, each form distorted into a mask of grief, fatigue, or regret. Their bodies seem sculpted from the same desiccated clay beneath their feet, as though sorrow itself has shaped them into ambulatory monuments to long-forgotten woes. Larger faces sink back into the earth, half-submerged, while smaller ones strain forward as if carrying the emotional sediment of generations. The painting evokes an ancient migration of burdens—pain inherited, reshaped, and passed on—its figures forever moving, yet never escaping the ground that birthed them.
