Gilgamesh Under the Sea — Signed Limited Edition Print

A journey into the submerged world of myth and imagination.

Gilgamesh Under the Sea is a work of Mythic Realism, bringing together ancient mythology, dream imagery, and the intricate visual language of Frank Forrestall's paintings.

Inspired by the legendary Mesopotamian hero, the painting presents a world of strange organic forms, mysterious figures, and elaborate structures that seem to emerge from the depths of the unconscious. As with much of Forrestall's work, the imagery invites personal interpretation rather than illustrating a particular moment from the ancient epic.

This special edition faithfully reproduces the original 49 × 32-inch acrylic painting, preserving its intricate details, subtle tonal relationships, and rich colour.
