Hellmouth presents the primordial mouth of the world, an ancient threshold through which spirits are drawn and released according to laws older than judgment. The forms within are souls in flux, yet they also read as tongues—living utterances of the abyss—suggesting that Hell does not merely consume, but proclaims. In this vision, damnation is a cosmic speech act: names are spoken into being, oaths are broken aloud, and truths too vast or terrible for silence are given form. The mouth is not simply an end, but an oracle, where the world’s buried voices surge forward, and the boundary between devouring and declaring dissolves into myth.
