Built from hundreds of anguished faces fused into a single body, the horse in Kingdom for a Horse becomes a living monument to collective suffering, sacrifice, and human ambition. Borrowing its title from Shakespeare’s cry in Richard III, the work transforms the horse into both beast of war and vessel of civilization itself—carrying the emotional weight of generations across a battlefield littered with relics and bones. The individual faces retain their own identities while simultaneously dissolving into the larger form, suggesting how societies, nations, and histories are built from innumerable lives consumed by conflict.
