March of Sorrows presents grief not as an inward state, but as a collective procession—an inexorable movement across a barren landscape. The central beast, both burdened and burden-bearer, carries a forest of anguish upon its back, its form bristling with the residue of accumulated suffering. The skeletal attendants that flank it appear less like guards than witnesses, embodiments of lives stripped to their essentials. The image suggests that sorrow, when endured long enough, acquires structure and ritual; it marches, it organizes, and it reshapes the world it passes through.
