Marquis (2025) presents a dreamlike figure assembled from mask, flesh, fabric, and scale, recalling both ritual deities and theatrical archetypes. Its solemn, mask-like face suggests concealment and revelation, while the patchwork body hints at fractured identity and transformation. At once regal and vulnerable, with exposed anatomical forms beneath ornate surfaces, the figure embodies the Jungian tension between persona and shadow. Part guardian, part herald, the Marquis emerges as a myth not yet written—a symbolic emissary from the subconscious, inviting viewers to encounter their own inner mythologies.
