In Masked Growth, a face appears overtaken by organic proliferation, its features obscured by root-like tendrils that radiate outward as both burden and lifeline. The mouth hangs open in a silent cry or breath, suggesting a being caught mid-metamorphosis. The image evokes growth not as a gentle process, but as something invasive and consuming—identity reshaped by forces beyond conscious control. This is a portrait of becoming through pressure, where the self is neither erased nor preserved, but irrevocably altered.
