Neurosyphilis Nightmare, a fractured head opens like a wound, revealing a tangled growth where thought once cohered. The image draws from historical visions of illness, when disease was understood as moral, spiritual, and bodily collapse all at once. The branching forms resemble corrupted neural pathways—thoughts rooting downward instead of reaching outward. It is a portrait of identity eroded from within, where the self continues to witness its own unraveling.
