Part domestic still life and part surreal tribunal, Perils of Tea transforms an ordinary table into a theatre of subconscious symbols and anxious ritual. The central creature—equal parts teapot, idol, and oracle—sits among scattered objects that resemble fragments of memory, creativity, and decay. The brick wall behind it becomes a psychic space cluttered with masks, sketches, and disembodied eyes, as though the act of making art itself has taken physical form. Humorous on the surface yet quietly ominous beneath, the painting suggests how even the smallest habits and comforts can become gateways into strange interior worlds.
Reverse: A monstrous king folding in on itself.
