Its hull teems with a haunting procession of figures—jesters, prophets, monarchs, and marionettes—each bearing a mask worn thin by time. At the prow, a long-nosed marionette gestures blindly forward with absurd conviction, while behind, a skeletal monarch, crowned and wind-tattered, presides over this aimless pilgrimage. Part bird, part relic, the ship itself is a paradox: a sarcophagus in flight, a carnival adrift in purgatory.
